Our Girl Scout Troop sold enough cookies this season to earn free tickets to the Columbus Zoo. We’ve had this trip for a few years now, and it never fails that it is always bright, sunny, hot, and full of allergy floaters in the air. There was an air quality alert in effect, it was in the 90’s, and there was barely a cloud in the sky.
We took the boat ride through Dinosaur Island, and saw bits and pieces of all of the zoo minus the Africa area, because 5-6 hours in that weather was more than enough and we just didn’t have it in us to get through the whole zoo.
They have a water park attached to the zoo, but we’ve never dealt with that side. We did watch a small show of a few animals and gave money for conservation to a Macaw. It’s always a long day, but we had a great time.
