We just finished a quick trip to West Virginia over my birthday. It’s always fun to see the grandparents and get away from everything for a day or two. We decided to delve into the world of cryptozoology. We made our way to Point Pleasant, WV to see The Mothman Museum!
There was a lot of movie memorabilia, so of course we had to watch the movie together while we were down there. It had been years since I’ve seen it! We also visited the TNT Bunkers in Point Pleasant, where many have claimed to see The Mothman!
It was eerie to walk into these dark, damp concrete structures, but amazing to see nature taking them over.
We also made our way to Sutton, WV, home of The Flatwoods Monster. There was a small museum setup along with basically a Braxton County welcome center. Sutton is also home to The Bigfoot Museum, but it wasn’t open the day we went. We stopped at Sutton Dam and had a fun time learning a little history of the area despite the drizzle.
