It\u2019s no lie that I am terrible at organizing my time. I work part-time. The girls have activities. I lead a Girl Scout troop (and cookie season is on the horizon). I am now a co-director for a play with the local community theater if we can get locations secured so we can start advertising for auditions. It was ad change week at work, plus packing away leftover Christmas stuff, so work was super busy. I have completely ignored texts and calls for the past week because of the holidays. Life was just overwhelming, which left me struggling through this week to catch up on replies, and relaying information to others about work, scouts, doctor\u2019s appointments, and everything else.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You\u2019d think coming into the end of year 2 of the pandemic, I\u2019d have a better grasp on things, but honestly, I was in survival mode before the plague even hit. Sure, things were halted for awhile when Ohio was on lockdown, but everything is back full force now it seems, and trying to stay safe while navigating this \u201cBrave New World\u201d is just tough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This new year, I\u2019m relying on my phone calendar, budget planner calendar, small planner calendar, and a hanging wall calendar to constantly remind me what the upcoming plans are. I\u2019m the type of person that has journal after journal, list after list, full of thoughts, reminders, grocery items, phone calls to make, bills to pay, etc. It only makes sense that I have redundant calendars as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Will it work? Who knows. I bought a magnetic monthly calendar last month to put on the fridge and meal plan, and that\u2019s failed for half of the month. In my defense though, planning food around the holidays is tough, because leftovers and cookies tend to make up a few meals!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Still, I find myself playing catch up on days off, and on days that I work, by the time I get home it takes everything I have to just make it up the stairs and collapse in bed. That leaves little energy to sit down and go over schedules and planning and meals with Luke before we both seem to just fall asleep. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

My takeaway from this current state. Time is valuable<\/strong>. I\u2019m working on changing my mindset and putting time first on my plate! <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
