A more local to us fandom store (Operation:Fandom<\/a>) hosted their first convention over the weekend. It was super amazing for a small, rural county to bring in such a crowd. Close to 2500 people came through.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the guests were a few of the kids (all grown up now) from The Sandlot<\/em>, celebrating the movie’s 30th anniversary. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The girls were busy checking out all of the vendors, so us adults waited in line to meet Yeah-Yeah (Marty York), Squints (Chauncey Leopardi), and Smalls (Tom Guiry).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also met Daniel Logan, who played Boba Fett as a child in the prequel movies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other guests included Jim Swearingen who worked for Kenner and created Star Wars toys, and Ari Lehman, the first Jason.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also picked up a Nintendo Super Famicon, because kiddo #2 is very much into Japanese gaming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There were toys, merch, cards, games, cosplay, and so much more! It was a great time and I look forward to them putting it on again! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
